What are piranhas? Piranhas are a member of the Serrasalmidae family, inhabit in South American rivers, ponds, and reservoirs and also in the Amazon rivers. Studies say that they are at most 4000 different marine species and can grow up to 5 to 20 in., depending on the species.

Scientists from various universities have done numerous experiments to know more about this tremendous creature. Even popular channels like the Animal Planet, Discovery have made many documentaries to study and know about these sea life creatures.
